One Year Celebration of the Barn Day Program!
September 21, 2008:
The Triangle Region of USERL celebrated the one year anniversary of it's Barn Day Program this past Saturday with a thank you party to the volunteers that make it happen!  In appreciation for their efforts, a 3 hour training demo was arranged with Grady Creech of Wakelon Farm.
Potluck lunch was served after everyone visited with their favorite equines on the farm.  Then Grady Creech demonstrated useful handling techniques and training methods for the volunteers, using USERL horses onsite.  The weather was great and so was the company.

The Triangle Region wishes to, again, thank all of the volunteers that give so selflessly to the horses!  And a special thank you to Kathy Horky for organizing this successful event.
A USERL volunteer, Nikki, helps the kids brush a pony to prepare her for the pony ride.

Grady isn't teaching the horse to "roll over", but I bet he could!
Children of the Barn Day volunteers got to enjoy a ride!
