Thank You Buckhorn Blazers 4-H Club!
The Buckhorn Blazers 4-H Club of Apex, NC came to Barn Days Oct. 11th to clean the barn and care for the rehab horses.  They worked hard and the horses loved all their attention!   The Barn Day Program just had it's one year anniversary and continues to be a big treat for the horses.
On left: Mannie adored the attention.  Here he receives his bath and body scrub.

On Right: Mannie is hand-grazed and brushed while he dries from his bath.
Above Left: Dutchess is pampered with a good bath and grooming.

Above Right:  Dutchess is hand-grazed by Jeff until she is dried.  Our blanket cooler was much too big for her, so another blanket was improvised to fit her.  Her hair coat is thick already and takes a long time to dry.  She enjoyed her royal treatment thoroughly.
On Left: Starla wasn't too sure about getting a bath at first.

On Right:  But then it started to feel too good to object.
On Left:  Cisco was a favorite as well.  He's always loved attention and soaked it up that day.

On Right: 4-H members work hard cleaning stalls.
Some of the farm owner's horses got in on the fun, too.

On Left: Sara holds Levi, for a bath.  He's always a gentleman with kids.

On Right:  The resident "grandma" who often mothers the rehabs, was also pampered.
USERl - Triangle Region wishes to thank the Buckhorn Blazers  and USERL volunteers for their hard work and smiles.
The horses thank you, too!
