1st Annual USERL - NC Triangle Horse Fest a Success!

The Horse Fest on May 21st was a great success and tons of fun!  In an all day and evening event, participants enjoyed various horse related clinics featuring horse training demos, farrier care, veterinary advice on purchasing/adopting your first horse and equine massage.  Kids and adults visited USERL horses, minis and some goat kids were on hand to entertain everyone. Then a full and delicious full dinner was enjoyed before a band began playing for the evening.  
This event will definitely be returning annually, so mark your calendars now for next year's Horse Fest event!

Thanks to all the volunteers that helped with this event, and to Lisa and Steve Godwin for hosting it at their beautiful farm! Special thanks to Piper's Tavern of Raleigh for donation of food for the dinner, as well as our speakers; Grady Creech of Wakelon Farms, Dr. James Meyer of "Neuse River Equine Hospital", Don Vick of "Hoof-N-Boot" and Harriet Ling of "Dancing Horse Equine Sports Massage Therapy"!
