MacNair's 4-H Club of Raleigh, NC did the Barn Days at the Wendell facility October 18, 2008.  They cleaned stalls, paddocks, buckets, horses and ponies!  Their time and efforts are much appreciated by both the volunteers, facility owners and - especially - the horses.
Some of the kids, their parents and USERL volunteers pose with their pick of favorite horses - Sid and Diago.
Thank You MacNair's 4-H Club!
"Tank" gets brushed from head to toe while others clean the mini paddock.
"Diago" gets worked over to transform him from an orange horse to a white one again.  A good roll in the dirt following the previous day's rain was too enticing for Diago.  It was too chilly for bathes, so the 4her's used elbow grease to shine him back up.
Above:  Many hands make light work!

At left:  A USERL volunteer, Marlan, holds "Sassy" while she enjoys a complete grooming from top to bottom.
"Sid" gets TLC and grooming.  A young 4her puts her husbandry skills to use cleaning out his hooves.  "Sid" has been lame intermittently through rehab.
Even "Charlotte" (on left) and Eddy the donkey (on right) get in on the action.
"Sassy" found her own fan club with some 4H girls that couldn't seem to get enough of her.  She obliged them with their hugs, rubs and offers of treats.
"Tank" didn't lose out on any attention either!
USERl - Triangle Region wishes to thank the MacNair's Country Acres 4H Club and USERL volunteers for their hard work and smiles.
And a special Thank You from the horses!
