July 15, 2009:
A gelding was surrendered during a cruelty investigation in Wake County. The county investigator asked USERL to take the horse into our program.
The county transported him to a USERL quarantine foster farm after receiving veterinary care for extensive hives all over his body. He is now on treatment and beginning the refeeding program and doing well.

This gelding is living it up with a great foster family that adores him! He's slowly gaining weight and his skin condition has improved dramatically.
