Sassy is doing very well. Her weight gain is steady as seen in her photo to the left. She is energetic and playful.
Her eyes are doing great, with the scarring on her left eye shrinking enough for her to have very slight vision in it! Her right eye has close to full vision. So Sassy has once again overcome what could have been a heartbreaking ending (blindness).
No one could have predicted this outcome, so we are very thankful to all that helped with the multiple eye meds for so many weeks. She continues to receive one eye medicine to prevent a reoccurence of bacterial and/or fungal infection in the eyes.
The video to the right is Sassy and her companion grazing quietly in the late afternoon. Due to the return of hot weather, she has only been able to go outside in the early evening or nighttime hours. Now that cool weather is returning she can go out more without worry of overheating.
